Code of Conduct for Sioux Suppliers
1. Purpose
This Supplier and Business Partner Code of Conduct establishes the ethical, legal, and operational standards expected of all suppliers, contractors, and business partners. It ensures alignment with Sioux’s values and applicable laws.
2. Scope
This code applies to all suppliers, vendors, contractors, subcontractors, and other third parties providing goods or services to Sioux Corporation.
3. Legal Compliance
Suppliers must comply with all applicable laws and regulations in the countries in which they operate, including labor, environmental, and anti-corruption laws.
4. Business Integrity & Ethics
4.1 Anti-Bribery and Corruption. Suppliers must not:
a. Offer, promise, or provide bribes, kickbacks, or improper payments
b. Engage in any form of corruption or unethical inducement
4.2 Suppliers must:
a. Maintain accurate financial and business records
b. Avoid falsification of documents, invoices, or certifications
c. Not engage in deceptive business practices
4.3 Conflicts of Interest.
Suppliers must disclose any actual or potential conflicts of interest that could influence business decisions.
5. Manufacturing & Procurement Integrity
5.1 Suppliers Must:
a. Deliver materials and services that meet agreed specifications and quality standards
b. Maintain transparent pricing and avoid hidden fees or unauthorized charges
c. Not substitute materials or alter specifications without prior approval
5.2 Suppliers Must Not collude with employees or other vendors to manipulate pricing or supply.
6. Human Rights and Labor Practices
6.1 Prohibition of Forced Labor.
a. Suppliers must not use forced, bonded, or involuntary labor.
b. Suppliers must not engage in any form of human trafficking or exploitation.
c. Supplier must not employe workers below the legal working age.
6.2 Fair Treatment. Suppliers must provide:
a. A workplace free from harassment, abuse, or discrimination
b. Fair wages and benefits in compliance with applicable laws
c. Reasonable working hours and rest periods
7. Health and Safety
Suppliers must provide a safe and healthy work environment. Suppliers must be compliant with occupational health and safety regulations and provide proper training, equipment, and safety procedures for their employees and subcontractors.
8. Environmental Responsibility
Suppliers are expected to comply with environmental laws and regulations and minimize environmental impact through responsible practices. Suppliers must manage waste and emissions appropriately.
9. Monitoring and Compliance
The company reserves the right to request documentation demonstrating compliance with this Code of Conduct. Suppliers are expected to cooperate fully with any such requests.
10. Reporting Concerns
Suppliers are encouraged to report any suspected violations of this Code. Reports may be made through designated company contacts.
11. Enforcement
Failure to comply with this Code may result in corrective action requirements. If corrective actions are not met, it may result in suspension or termination of the business relationship
12. Acknowledgment
By providing products to Sioux Corporation, suppliers acknowledge their understanding and commitment to comply with this code as a condition of doing business.
